Vision, Hard Work, and Family Purpose
How it all began
I became a real estate investor in 2008, right after the housing market collapsed. While many saw a crisis, I saw an opportunity. Property values had dropped drastically — and I decided to invest. But this wasn’t luck; it was the result of eight years of consistent, disciplined work.
Back in 2000, my mother and I founded a flooring installation company. Through discipline, perseverance, and a strong sense of family, we were able not only to earn income but also to save with a long-term vision. In 2008, we decided to put those savings into what became our first major investment. As the saying goes, “Every crisis brings opportunity… you just need the right mindset.”
Who made it possible
Investing in those properties was only the first step. We had about 10 houses, but none were ready to sell — they needed major renovations. So my mom and I decided to do it ourselves. We worked at our company during the day, and from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m., we renovated each house, one by one.
We had no prior remodeling experience, only faith, motivation, and the energy that comes with believing in a better future. It was during that process that I learned a powerful lesson:
You can be the best at what you do — but you can’t be the best at everything.
You need a team. You need to surround yourself with capable people who share your purpose and vision.
So, we began bringing in electricians, construction workers, and licensed professionals to help us make key decisions and meet regulatory requirements. That’s how our first true team was born.
When the effort paid off
After years of sacrifice, by 2015 I had not only reached the goals I set for myself — I had far exceeded them. I achieved solid results financially, professionally, and personally. That season in my life gave me invaluable experience and marked a turning point in my career.
